A Certificate of Compliance is a legal requirement for any addition, renovation or extension to an existing build, and for all new builds.
A Certificate of Compliance, provided by an architect, engineer or surveyor, provides certification that the works have been completed in compliance with Building and Planning Regulations, and/or with any Planning Permission granted.
This certification is a requirement when selling your property.
The services of a registered architect, engineer or surveyor must be retained. They are qualified to inspect works and provide certification, once they are satisfied works have been completed to standard, and are structurally sound.
Price ranges from €350 + vat, depending on requirements.
Certificate of Compliance – provided when we have designed and monitored your construction/works, and can certify that works have been completed to comply with Building Regulations and/or Planning Permission.
Certificate of Exemption – provided to certify that relevant works are exempt from Planning Permission.
Opinion of Compliance – provided after the completion of works and based purely on a visual inspection – no opening up of works.
